Our Extraction Process

After extensive research at twelve factories in India to identify the best practices, M.D. KLEAN is proud to share the detailed approach behind our premium castor oil production. We are committed to quality from the ground up, beginning with the meticulous selection and sourcing of the finest castor beans from trusted growers who embrace sustainable farming practices. This ensures the raw materials we use are of the highest quality.

Our production process is designed to produce 100% organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free castor oil, setting our product apart with its purity and excellence:

  1. Sourcing the Finest Castor Beans: Our journey starts with selecting the highest quality castor beans. We partner with farmers who are dedicated to sustainable practices, ensuring the beans meet our strict quality standards.

  2. Cleaning and Preparation: After harvesting, the castor beans undergo a rigorous cleaning and preparation process to remove any impurities or debris, crucial for maintaining the oil’s purity and integrity.

  3. Cold Pressed Extraction: In contrast to traditional methods, our cold-pressed extraction technique involves mechanically pressing the castor beans to extract the oil, without the use of heat or chemicals. This method helps preserve the natural properties and nutrients of the oil, resulting in a superior quality product. After extraction, the oil is carefully filtered to ensure its clarity and purity.

  4. Quality Assurance: Throughout our process, we implement strict quality control measures to ensure the consistency and purity of our castor oil. Our commitment to quality assurance means that every bottle of M.D. KLEAN castor oil meets our high standards of excellence, confirmed through comprehensive lab testing.

Cold-Pressed vs. Expeller-Pressed Castor Oil: It’s important to distinguish between these two extraction methods, both of which involve mechanical extraction without the use of chemicals but differ in the temperatures at which the oil is extracted. Cold-pressed castor oil is extracted at low temperatures to preserve more of the oil’s natural properties, though it may lead to lower yields and higher production costs. Expeller-pressed castor oil, on the other hand, is extracted at higher temperatures, which can yield more oil at a lower cost but requires careful control to minimize damage to the oil’s nutritional profile.

By choosing the cold-pressed method, M.D. KLEAN demonstrates its dedication to efficiency, consistency, and the delivery of a high-quality product that is safe for our customers and the environment.
